Ever since I cycled to the library as a young teenager and secured stacks of books on the carrier of my bike with a bungee cord, I dreamed of working in book publishing. I wanted to help authors delight readers like me (but also all the other sorts of readers too) and to see their efforts rewarded.
I’ve been incredibly lucky in my career so far to be able to do that with and for other publishers. Now, with Full Set, I’m building a business with my co-founder, Blathnaid Healy, from the ground up.
Over a decade working inside one of the largest technology companies as a publisher has helped me see how publishing can approach what it does differently, how it can experiment and pilot ideas in agile ways without losing what makes it great. My previous experience in independent publishing grounds me in the challenges and opportunities that come with being smaller and more nimble.
Full Set works in service of authors and audiences, is format agnostic and seeks to guide storytellers along the best path, even in times of great transformation. It will launch its first list in the second half of 2026, with a focus on current affairs and business titles.
